GENERAL INFORMATION

TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAM

ACADEMIC YEAR 2009/2010

The Teacher Education Programme (TEP) is an intensive one-year programme designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to become professional primary or secondary school teacher. The programme is suitable for all but particularly meets the needs of teachers seeking a position in a National Plus and Sekolah Bertaraf Internasional.

WHO SHOULD JOIN THIS PROGRAMME
•    Any S-1 degree holder without any background from educational faculty (non teacher) but have desire on becoming professional teacher for the future career are welcome to apply

•    Teachers with S-1 degree who are currently teaching at primary and/or secondary school who have desire to upgrade their teaching competencies.

CHOICE OF STUDY

The participants of the TEP may choose one out of four course subject ;
•    Course for primary school teacher
•    Course for secondary school Mathematics teacher
•    Course for secondary school English Language teacher
•    Course for secondary school Science teacher

COURSE SCHEDULE
Course is scheduled to run every Saturday at 08.00 – 15.45, from August 1st, 2009 Until June 2010

FEE
•    Registration Fee is Rp. 100.000,- pay one time during the admission process

•    The total tuition fee is Rp. 8.000.000,- . It will cover one year course fee and teaching practice session

REQUIREMENT
Applicants should be an S-1 degree holder. Majored in any subject for primary school course and majored to the relevant subject  to the choice of study (please see the choice of study) for secondary school courses

DOCUMENT REQUIRED
To apply to the TEP, interested applicants should prepare documents listed below to be attached with the registration form.
•    Latest Curriculum Vitae
•    Copy of S-1 degree certificate (legalized)
•    Academic transcript (legalized)
•    2 copies of recent colour photograph (4 X 6)
•    Recommendation letter from school or institution (only for applicants who are currently teaching at school)
•    Copy of ID card / pasport

ADMISSION PROCESS

•    Complete the registration form that can be obtained by contacting the TEP admission officer or by visiting www.sf-teacher.org

•    Submit the completed registration form with the document required attached to the TEP admission office at the latest on July  09th 2009, along with the registration fee of Rp. 100.000,-
•    Pass the TEP admission test scheduled by the admission officer

•    Re-register at the indicated date for applicants successfully passed the admission test

•    Settle the payment as indicated on payment scheme

ADMISSION CALENDAR

•    Registration : June 22th – July 09th , 2009

•    Admission Test : July  11st, 2009

•    Result Announcement : July  17th, 2009

•    Re-registration : July  21st – July  24th, 2009

•    Class Start : August 2009

ADMISSION PROCESS
Admission process will be conducted in the form of, document submission, English Proficiency Test and Interview. The result will be announced on www.sf-teacher.org. However, successful Applicants will be informed through email.
